Phoenix Laser Solutions just completed a project repairing an extremely high-value nuclear motor shaft. The shaft had been damaged during manufacturing, and needed the smaller outer diameter cladded with weld. Phoenix Laser was able to weld and repair this shaft in less than a week, much faster than other processes, and with much less machining time.
What happens when an important textured surface is damaged? Historically, the entire surface would have to be welded, machined, and then textured again. Now, with our highly experienced welders, Phoenix Laser Solutions has developed a solution to this problem. With a delicate touch and time savings in mind, Phoenix can weld the damaged areas to match the texture, and save hours at a time!
Phoenix Laser Solutions Welding Manager and Owner, Chris Learn, transported an ALFlak 300 Mobile system to a customer, unloaded and set it up in minutes, then repaired damaged tooling components inside a CNC Mill! This removed all the teardown, setup, and transportation costs for the tooling, and allowed the CNC operator to start cutting as soon as the weld was performed.
